Earlier today, 160 students from across South East Queensland united in Brisbane in front of Environment Minister, Hon Leeanne Enoch and select local Councillors to share their vision and recommendations on how to converse and protect local marine life.

As part of the Tangalooma EcoMarines program, the students from 40 SEQ schools came together to celebrate their outstanding year-long achievements in protecting the Moreton Bay marine environment and wildlife at an event titled, The Wave.

Throughout the year, these students became ‘EcoMarines ambassadors’ in their community, leading environmental activities and sharing advice on how to conserve and protect local marine life. At this event, they had the opportunity to share their visions and recommendations on how we can take better care of our precious environment into the future.
