The 2013 Taiwan Hot Spring Fine-Cuisine Carnival officially began on October 28 at the Jinshan-Wanli Hot Spring Area in New Taipei City and will continue to January 20, 2014.

During the event, now in its seventh year, businesses in 17 hot spring areas are offering special deals on hot springs and fine cuisine along with in-depth travel information and local hot spring activities. The carnival aims to heighten awareness of Taiwan’s high-quality hot springs and cuisine and attract more foreign visitors to Taiwan. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau said that this year’s carnival will feature three special deals.

Hot spring visitors can register on the event website for a chance to win prizes, including an NT$100,000 Gold Passbook, NT$50,000 Gold Passbook, airline tickets, LCD TVs, tablet PCs, digital cameras and smartphones with a record total value of more than NT$1 million. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy Taiwan’s quality hot springs and a chance to win.
