2014 APFC/WFC Meetings Co-hosted by Taipei and New Taipei City to Create 10 Billion NT Dollars of Business Opportunities

The 2014 Asia-Pacific Franchise Confederation and World Franchise Council Meetings in Taiwan (APFC/WFC Meetings), organized by the Association of Chain and Franchise Promotion, Taiwan, and co-hosted by Taipei City and New Taipei City, is taking place at the TWTC and TICC from September 23 to 29, 2014.

This franchise carnival links together six major events including the APFC Meeting, WFC Meeting, Taiwan International Chain and Franchise Exhibition, Global Franchise Business Networking, International Chain & Franchise Forum, and Taiwan City Tour. The organizer expects to have high-level representatives from over 40 countries and some 700 franchise experts and specialists worldwide together with more than 200 1411451572303-0international brands. The event will fully demonstrate the solid strength of Taiwan’s chain businesses.

Association of Chain and Franchise Promotion, Taiwan, Vice Chairman and 2014 APFC/WFC Meetings Chair Mr. Lee pointed out that both Global Franchise Business Networking and the International Chain & Franchise Forum are the largest events of their kind to ever be held in Taiwan. These meetings are the ideal opportunity to catch global business trends and pave the way to international chain and franchise markets. The organizer’s goals are to sign up 8,000 franchise cases, creating economic benefits of around 10 billion NT dollars worth of private investment, assist 100 chain businesses with entering international markets, and achieve 50 international business matching cases.

From September 26 to 29, the Taiwan International Chain and Franchise Exhibition has more than 120 companies representing 150 brands registered to exhibit. Exhibitors include CoCo International which has around 1,500 CoCo-tea chain stores covering Europe, USA, Australia, and New Zealand, plus other famous catering brands that are rapidly opening up chain stores in China such as My Warm Day, Laya Burger, and Hong Ya Hamburger. National Biotechnology & Medical Care Quality Gold Award winner for the Lu-Miel skin care series, Taiyen Beauty, will also participate in the show, while the popular B2T cuisine D2 Devil X Dessert Banana chocolate cake will be exhibiting for the first time. The exhibition is expecting around 160,000 local visitors and 10,000 from abroad.

The International Chain & Franchise Forum on September 27 is another spotlight event. Experts and pioneers from various fields are invited to the global chain and franchise matters panel discussion, plus will give three keynote speeches about Chinese brands shaking the world, the impact of economic globalization on the chain industry, and key elements of successful international chain brands. Representatives of popular chain brands worldwide will have the chance to hear about successful chain and franchise internationalization and to meet with industry professionals to learn from their experience.
