Keep the faith, challenge yourself! The “Taipei 101 Run Up” is the highest, i.e., longest, vertical race in Taiwan, and attracts the most participants.

Each year it attracts a great many athletes wanting to challenge themselves to take part in this grand event, each of whom shares the goal of conquering Taiwan’s tallest skyscraper by climbing the 91 floors of that rise 390 meters into the air with their 2,046 steps.

Whether it is individual or group competition, all runners clearly exhibit the athletic spirit of not quitting until the goal is reached and of moving bravely forward. In addition to attracting top international athletes to register and compete, the “Taipei 101 Run Up” is a newsworthy event that the domestic and international media alike vie with each other to report. Seeing the competitors moving step by step to the finish,

bystanders all give them the thumbs up sign in admiration of their indomitable spirit, believing that this competition will project Taipei’s new healthy and diverse urban look.
