2015 TaiSPO Revealed New Sports Trends at Record-Breaking Event

The 2015 Taipei International Sporting Goods Show, known as TaiSPO, took place at TWTC Exhibition Halls 1 and 3 during March 18-21, breaking its previous record as over 300 exhibitors from home and abroad occupied 1,800 booths.


Major Taiwan sporting goods companies including Johnson Health Tech Co., Dyaco International Co., Joong Chenn Industry Co., Tung Keng Enterprise Co., and Continental Chemical Industries Co. all exhibited at the show. Joining them were exhibitors from the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Pakistan. Show categories covered fitness equipment, outdoor sport products, sports balls, massage products, diving and water sports goods, sportswear, sports textiles, and sports accessories. Buyers from Korea, Malaysia, Finland, Japan, and other countries were in attendance.

The health and fitness industry has been booming in Asia, and practitioners in the region have been seeking more inter-industry interaction. The Second Fitness Industry and Fitness Club Management Forum was held as one response to demand. It featured high profile international experts who shared their insights on development, as well as marketing, of the health and fitness industry. In addition, master instructors demonstrated the latest fitness programs at the forum.

To encourage sporting goods producers to focus more on product innovation and development, the organizer hosted a product competition. The TaiSPO All Stars Innovation Stage of Excellence resulted in eight final award winners ranging from fitness equipment and water sports goods to sportswear and accessories which were displayed during the show.

For added attraction, the TAIPEI CYCLE show was held in conjuction with TaiSPO at the TWTC Nankang Exhibition Hall. The two exhibitions together formed the one and only one-stop procurement platform in Asia for buyers of sporting goods. The mega-event was the ideal opportunity for sporting goods professionals from home and abroad to catch the latest industry trends, as well as seek cooperation and purchasing partners.
