Steve Plotnicki, Founder of Opinionated About Dining and one of the industry’s pioneering food bloggers, says,“The survey results reflect a combination of Japan’s rich culinary scene, and the high skill level of the chefs working in the country, and the highly cultivated expertise of our members – food savants, who like myself, are curious about where to find a great meal, and who regularly travel across the globe to discover the best dining experiences the world has to offer.”

OAD is unique in its approach to voting, by having the opinions of diners that eat out more widely having a higher score weighting than those that do so occasionally. In this way it reflects the views of experienced diners rather than those of industry insiders,” said Food Critic, Andy Hayler.
