MEET TAIWAN, sponsored by Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade and implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), have announced the seven corporate finalists for Asia Super Team: The Almighty Player, inviting 28 corporate contestants from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Hong Kong & Macao to visit Taiwan for the finals from 3rd to 7th October. The champion will stand to win MICE tourism packages to Taiwan worth over S$67,000 (US$50,000).
Launched in July, Asia Super Team: The Almighty Player has since attracted over 150 entries from companies across the Asia Pacific region. Teams with the highest score in each country are qualified as finalists. EU MICE Pte Ltd stood out in Singapore from over 35 corporate competitors vying for the glorious championship. During the preliminary round of Asia Super Team: The Almighty Player, teams were put through an online game that not only tested their knowledge of Taiwan’s MICE environment and resources, but also their passion and team spirit. The online game also gave contestants the chance to virtually experience the abundance of MICE attractions and major festivals in Taiwan. The finals, an offline Monopoly-like contest, will see elite teams from seven countries compete in a five-day four-night trip in Taiwan that coincides with two major festivals – Yunlin International Puppet Theater Festival and Taiwan Cycling Festival – allowing players to experience Taiwan’s MICE offerings, local culture and ecological experiences across Taipei, Taichung, Changhwa and Yunlin in-person. Throughout the final trip in Taiwan, the contestants will be expected to demonstrate five of the core abilities
expected of today’s business super talent – agility, responsiveness, courage, creativity and intelligence.
The final winner will be revealed at the 2016 Asia Super Team: The Almighty Player Award Ceremony on 15th October 2016
The second phase of online voting will be opened from 6PM on 3rd October 2016 to 1159PM, on 5th October 2016 (GMT+8)
