2018 Cruises Still Open In Croatia

March 6, 2018 Cruise No Comments Email Email

EVERYONE knows Croatia is hot for cruising this year and while itineraries continue selling fast there are still ample cabins available on boats exploring the magnificent Adriatic Sea if you know where to look.

Cruise Croatia’s general manager business development Peter Smith says that while June and September tend to sell first there is still space for Australian travellers at those times, as well as other months, despite the perception Croatia is already full.

Cruise Croatia – the Beyond Travel Group subsidiary specialising in small-ship voyages around the Adriatic – has launched a “last minute availability” button on its website to help agents easily see those remaining cabins searching by date, departure port, and cruise type.

“We added the tool on our website to make it easy for our trade partners to find voyages from the stock available,’’ Smith says of the new service.

“Searching by date, departure port and type of experience – from deluxe and first class to traditional, land-and-cruise packages, mini-cruises – allows agents with a bit of flexibility to fit a cruise in around their client’s other arrangements.’’

The Cruise Croatia boss has a tip for those set on booking a Croatian cruise in 2018 and suggests departing from ports other than Dubrovnik and Split.

“That isn’t difficult because the destination is relatively compact with alternatives never far from the main gateways,’’ Smith says.

“There are seven departure points for cruising along the Croatian coast – Split, Dubrovnik, Trogir, Opatija, Porec, Zadar and Omis – with our itineraries stopping at some of the most beautiful islands.

“Croatia’s growing reputation as a region best enjoyed by water, and on a small vessel rather than a big cruise ship, means our local partners are always working to find new ways to get travellers onto the Adriatic.”
