7 Hotel Areas Prone to HookUps During Weddings

June may be wedding month, but it can be a somber time for the lonely and unattached. Celebrating the union of a happy couple while going stag can make even the most confident single feel lonely, and according to a new poll, get frisky before the cake is even cut. polled 16,474 single travelers about their wedding going habits, discovering that 67% of those polled have hooked up during or after a wedding reception.

“Attending a wedding alone means two things for singles: open bar and an all day reminder that you’re still single,” says Brandon Wade, Founder & CEO of “But many seize this opportunity to find a new connection, with a likeminded single who is more receptive to finding a new love interest, even if just for the night.”Sidebar-Banner-GTM_Specs--250x250-A

The poll also revealed that 76% of those who have hooked up at a wedding taking place at a hotel, have done so outside of the hotel room with the elevator being the most common area of choice.

“A lot of things can happen on the way to the room”, comments Wade. “In the heat of the moment, when you just want to feel loved right then, passion overcomes logic and suddenly you’re doing the deed with the maid of honor in the elevator.”
