Hong Kong will once again ‘Drink For Good’ on Wednesday, 17 September 2014, as Central and Sheung Wan’s favourite bars and restaurants support HandsOn Hong Kong by giving HK$5 for each drink consumed that night towards making 500 local disadvantaged and disabled children’s wishes come true!

Following on from last year’s hugely successful launch of Drink For Good in Hong Kong, the city is now joined by London and New York for a 24 hour global celebration on 17 September, 2014. By simply purchasing drinks at any of the participating bars on the day, everyone can support the cause while having a great time with friends.

“HandsOn Hong Kong is excited that the initiative we launched in Hong Kong last year has now gone global. With the world’s three biggest financial centres joining together, each with the epicentre of the event being the Soho district of each city, it will be a true 24 hour global party for good!” says Caroline Sprod, Executive Director HandsOn Hong Kong.

In 2013, Drink For Good created a party throughout town with over 60 bars and restaurants participating, the event has proven to be a great success in combining Hong Kong people’s two favorite things together – charity and having a fun night out. The event generated over HK$100,000 in one night and achieved its goal of taking over 100 deserving youngsters with disabilities on three separate trips to Ocean Park in March 2014.

Corporate sponsors can “adopt” a bar for HK$1,000 and access exclusive branding opportunities for a good cause. In 2013, 58 corporate sponsors supported the event and got their messages out. “Compass Offices are delighted to support Drink For Good again this year. It’s a great initiative benefiting deserving kids, and gives companies of all sizes the chance to get involved and give back to the community,” says David Smalley, Manager, Corporate Partnerships.
