The three-bedroom Sky Villas, of which there are six in the resort, are ideal for larger families with up to four children or friends. The four-bedroom Sky Villa penthouses are the pinnacle of luxury living, perfect for family reunions, larger private group parties or small events. From May – October 2015, Kata Rocks will offer a complimentary third night with every two consecutive paid nights and daily breakfast included.
Groups and families arrive in style and avail of complimentary limousine transfer from Phuket International Airport. On arrival, guests can choose from an array of over 10 adventure and cultural group activities** which are arranged by one of the ‘Kata Stars’ a dedicated group liaison team member who will handle all group-bookings and travel. In addition, a Chinese-speaking guest experience coordinator is also available.
Group activities include elephant trekking at Phuket Elephant Ride, which is just 10 minutes by car from Kata beach. Other excursions available are a 30-minute private helicopter ride for up to six people over Phang Nga Bay and private speed boat day trips to the islands for groups of up to 10. There is also the ever-popular Flying Hanuman adventure park located close-by, Southeast Asia’s top rainforest experience, where groups can zip wire through the jungle and partake in group trials and assault courses.
For some evening relaxation, family outdoor cinema nights will take place poolside on the last Friday of every month from April – June 2015. Family-friendly movies will be accompanied by homemade gourmet popcorn, nachos and hotdogs as well as an ice-cream station for the kids. For adults, Kata Rocks’ signature alcoholic milkshakes are on offer.
Kata Rocks welcomes children and all activities and experiences are child-friendly. At the resort, Children can avail ofthe expansive 35-metre swimming pool and enjoy the safe confines of the resort as well as a special Children’s Menu at the pool-side restaurant.
The oceanfront restaurant tucked into rocks above Kata Point creates modern Mediterranean and Australasian cuisine with a hint of Thai flavours. For adults who want to unwind away from the kids, the Infinite Luxury Spa treatments can help combat jetlag as well as rejuvenate body and soul. Bespoke treatments include the Dreamtime Experience with spikenard and orange blossom essential oils which can help with sleep patterns and helping guests to unwind. The 90-minute Siam Classic massage energises and the 60 – 90 minute Bamboo Massage is great to help relax all muscles after a day of high-octane adventures. Couples rooms are available.
The property has a perfect position for rest and play as it is located on the Southern end of Kata Beach but is also a short stroll from shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants in Kata village as well as other leisure activities for the more adventurous.
