Japan Airline’s (JAL) has been progressively delivering innovative travel experience at home airports and in the air, with “Simple, Convenient and Speedy” services under the concept of JAL Smart Style. The airline will add a new function to JAL Countdown app for smartphone. The new service can provide waiting time in security check areas at Tokyo Haneda’s Terminal 1, starting July 2015.
A new system developed by Hitachi, Ltd can measure the waiting time in security check areas. This new system allows Japan Airlines to launch a new function on its JAL Countdown app for smartphone in response to the expectation of customers for providing an improved departure experience at airport. Customers can use this new service to check the waiting time in four security check areas at Haneda’s Terminal 1, and is able to choose the most time-saving way for security check.
JAL is embracing new challenges to serve customers with more innovative products and high-quality services.
