For one week next March the famous Lewa Borana Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya is inviting guests to actively participate in its wildlife conservation efforts.    It will be the first time ever that guests can be part of the ranger team helping to track, locate and count wildlife species for the annual Big Five wildlife census.

There will be the opportunity to monitor and track rhino and lion with telemetry receivers, to track and ID rhino on foot using ear notch diagrams, and mountain bike along the boundary fence checking voltages and any damage.  Guests will also be able to join Borana’s chief conservation officer on his ranger deployments and gathering of intelligence reports, and attend a lecture by Michael Dyer, MD of the Borana Conservancy.  It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness and partake in the behind the scenes action and make a difference while on safari.

The itinerary runs from 2nd to 9th March and is limited to 16 guests.  Cost is from $5,250 and includes  one night at the Emakoko Hotel in Nairobi, three nights full board at Lewa Wilderness Camp, three nights full board at Borana Lodge, internal flights and road transfers / 01980849160
