A real and effective cellulite treatment with Cellulaze

The majority of us have had those moments when we look in the mirror and gasp at the sight of “orange peel” lumps and bumps on our legs, buttocks or arms.

PanvimanCellulite is the curse of the fashionista, and the result of hormones, genetics or dramatic weight changes, which can all play a role in its unwanted arrival.

These factors can cause connective tissue bands under the skin to stiffen and the fat cells they surround to become larger and push up into the skin to create the “cottage cheese” effect we wish we could eliminate.

But thanks to a new technique called Cellulaze, unsightly cellulite can now be treated more quickly and effectively than traditional treatments.

Cellulaze is the only minimally invasive laser procedure designed to attack the structure of cellulite beneath your skin. It delivers longer-lasting results after only one short treatment.

The US technology has been made exclusively available to Form and Function Clinic’s company director and specialist plastic surgeon, Dr Scott Ingram, who has been appointed Australian luminary.

Located in the Mater Private Clinic, South Brisbane, Form and Function is a long-established specialist plastic surgery practice, offering a comprehensive range of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures, all performed within the Mater Private Hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities.

Dr Ingram, who is the president of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,  said many other anti-cellulite treatments focused on cellulite superficially, applying treatment above the skin.

“Only Cellulaze treats the fibrous bands beneath the skin, while also thickening and adding elasticity to the skin,” Dr Ingram said.

“A very small cannula, or tube about the size of the tip of a pen is inserted under the skin.

“A unique laser fibre inside the tube then delivers energy directly under the skin. This increases the thickness and quality of your skin, while simultaneously releasing the fibrous bands that pull it down, minimising the orange peel look associated with cellulite.

“Finally, the cellulite laser is used to diminish the lumpy pockets of fat that protrude though the fibrous bands under your skin.”

Dr Ingram said the Cellulaze cellulite laser treatment was minimally invasive and could be performed under local anaesthesia and sedation.

He said clients may experience some light bruising and discomfort after the procedure and would be required to wear a compression garment for four to six weeks post treatment.

“However, you’ll be able to get back to your normal activities within a few days and resume more strenuous exercise after one to two weeks,” Dr Ingram said.

“But it doesn’t stop there. Your results will continue to improve for the next three to 12 months.”
