New strategic partnerships, significant investment in market-leading technology and a series of senior appointments led to further growth and global expansion for the leading travel and events management business, the ATPI Group, in 2018. http://www.Germany.travel/en/index.html

In the first quarter of the year, ATPI focused on international expansion, adding to its network through strategic partnerships. Direct ATPI Global Travel, a joint organisation with US based Direct Travel was launched in February 2018, adding a wide range of offices across USA and Canada to the ATPI international network of 100+ offices in 55 countries. The Group also joined forces with six new partners and strengthened its on-the-ground local expertise in several important locations in Israel, Oman, Hungary, Turkey, Argentina and Kenya.

Momentum continued into the year and ATPI partnered with Serko, an online travel and expense management business, delivering the launch of Zeno by ATPI. ATPI became the first Travel Management Company (TMC) to bring this technology exclusively to Europe. Zeno by ATPI revolutionises corporate travel booking by providing the control that travel managers need, with the ease of use that corporate travellers look for, via simple and interactive booking functionality.

With client needs at the forefront of its agenda, the business also announced plans to evolve its proprietary fare aggregation system, ATPI Ticket Window, to integrate New Distribution Capability (NDC) content from airlines currently unavailable via GDS (Global Distribution System).

ATPI celebrated success after winning the distinguished UK GTMC Innovation Award for its enhanced market-leading ATPI Traveller Tracking System™ (TTS). In 2018 the tool was upgraded to give travel managers access to destination risk information in real-time. TTS also helps keep travellers safe through its  instant  email and SMS service which allows communication to be made with a traveller should an incident occur. Providing additional support, the ATPI out of hours team is available 24/7, a service that an impressive 87 per cent of clients praise according to a recent survey.

Significant development has also been made towards strengthening the Group’s management team with a number of senior appointments across the globe. Key appointments include John Nixon as global director of operations, and Clare Pereira as global director of products and customer experience.

Further afield three leadership appointments were made across ATPI’s divisions, with Helen van Berkel as global head of events, Judy ‘JP’ Peplinski as global head of energy, and Kathy Larkan as head of commercial operations Australia.

Andrew Waller, CEO, the ATPI Group, said:

“ATPI strengthened its position in 2018 across each of its specialist divisions – energy, marine, sports & corporate events, and corporate travel, through investment in market-leading technology, new strategic partnerships and senior leadership appointments. This has combined to enhance the exceptional service we provide for our clients. 2019 is set to be another strong year for ATPI, with many technology investments coming to life and an ongoing focus on innovation and product developments which will further improve every aspect of the services we provide.”
