Abode Bistro & Bar Located At Parkroyal Darling Harbour, Sydney Wins Metro Restaurant Of The Year At The 2015 Taa (NSW) Awards For Excellence
ABODE Bistro & Bar located at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney has won the prestigious honour of Metropolitan Restaurant of the Year (Mid-Range – Superior Hotels) at the 2015 TAA (NSW) Awards for Excellence, hosted by Catriona Rowntree and attended by 700 industry elite last night.
ABODE is an innovative dining sanctuary with welcoming designer interiors. The kitchen, with Head Chef Ryan Hong at the helm, offers a distinctive menu with fresh, seasonal flavours from locally sourced producers expertly prepared to deliver dishes that encourage people to come together and share conversation.
Head Chef Ryan Hong accepted the award on behalf of the team at ABODE, “We are truly grateful for this award, especially as ABODE has only been open a year. We have received many positive reviews and I’m very proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time.”
Additionally, the hotel’s Director of Revenue Management, Andrea Blair, won Revenue/Yield Manager of the Year. Andrea has been the Group since 2005 and worked her way from a front line employee to an integral member of the Executive Management Team, with a focus on team development and strong revenue growth for the hotel. Meeting and Events Executive, Breanne Miake, received a highly commended in the ‘Meeting and Events Employee of the Year’ category, recognising her dedication as a true events expert. Breanne joined the team at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney in 2013 and the following year received the internal award for ‘Employee of the Year’. She has successfully delivered unforgettable experiences to her clients and the patrons of their events.

PARKROYAL Parramatta was also nominated for three awards on the evening including Outstanding Community Service & Achievement, Revenue/Yield Manager of the Year and Front of House Employee of the Year.
