OKIDOKEYS, an OpenWays company, the world-leading solutions provider of mobile-based access-management and security solutions, is addressing the growing demand for smart lock technology with solutions for hotels, homes, rental properties, home-sharing, and more.

With OpenWays technology, global travelers can already bypass the hotel front desk and securely use any of the 6.8 billion cell phones and smartphones worldwide as their room key.

“The recent news that Starwood Hotels is piloting a program in two of its Aloft hotels enabling guests to use their smartphones as room keys is further evidence of the growing consumer appetite for Mobile Key technology,” said Pascal Metivier, founder and CEO of OpenWays. “As a provider of mobile-based access management solutions to major hotels and chains around the world, we are leveraging our expertise to answer the increasing consumer demand for this technology with OKIDOKEYS, our new consumer Smart-Locks and Keys solution. We are also continuously enhancing and growing our offerings for the hotel industry to ensure that our customers have the most technologically-advanced products available.” OpenWays’ new Mobile Key DUAL© solution for hotels combines OpenWays’ Crypto Acoustic Credential (CAC) Technology and Bluetooth 4.0 Bluetooth Low Energy (including Apple iBeacon) to enable ALL travelers to bypass traditional hotel check-in/-out processes. Guests now proceed straight to their rooms upon arrival and securely open their room locks with ANY mobile phone, including non-smartphones.

OKIDOKEYS successfully launched its line of consumer smart locks and keys at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. OKIDOKEYS enables consumers to securely and easily manage access to all properties anytime, anywhere, through a complete line of smart locks. Users can lock and unlock any door with OKIDOKEYS – as well as garage doors and electronic gates – using smartphones, cell phones and smart tags, and still have the option of using current traditional keys.

Home owners can now remotely share keys with day and time limits, staying in control at anytime. OpenWays and OKIDOKEYS are now able to provide solutions adapted to all needs, hotels, homes, rental properties, and home-sharing users.
