New Zealand’s largest hotel operator, Accor, is delighted to announce that it is the recipient of two esteemed Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. (HHR) awards.
HHR is the largest lodging real estate investment trust and one of the largest owners of luxury and upper-upscale hotels globally. In New Zealand, the company owns seven Accor hotels including Novotel and Ibis Auckland Ellerslie, Novotel and Ibis Wellington, Novotel and Ibis Christchurch and Novotel Queenstown.
At a ceremony held in San Diego, Accor Regional General Manager, Paul Archer, was delighted to accept two prestigious awards for Novotel Wellington and Novotel & Ibis Christchurch, elevating New Zealand and Accor amongst international brands such as Marriott and Sheraton and hotels across 16 countries.
Novotel Wellington won the HHR best in class Guest Satisfaction Award for small hotels. This award was based on achieving the best Net Promoter Score (NPS) which measures the loyalty that exists between a provider and a guest over a two year period. Novotel Wellington also achieved best improvement in the score year on year which contributed to its award success.
Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square and Ibis Christchurch, two of the first hotels to reopen in the Christchurch post the 2011 earthquake, won the HHR best in class Capital Project Award. This award was based on achieving collaboration in execution of the hotel’s renovation projects, in a financially effective, efficient and focused project scope, with low displacement of business during the process.
Vice President Accor New Zealand & Fiji, Garth Simmons, said “We’re absolutely thrilled to bring home two Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. awards to New Zealand. These awards are prominent among many international hotel brands and the fact that Accor has won two, is testament to our dedicated teams and their unrelenting customer service focus. We are proud to celebrate these wins with the Novotel and Ibis hotel teams.”
