HotelQuickly, AsiaPacific’s largest mobile app for lastminute hotel bookings, is pleased to announce its latest expansion into Myanmar and Laos on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.

Launching these markets highlights the company’s commitment to delivering a stressfree and rewarding lastminute hotel booking experience to customers wherever they go throughout the region. The expansion into these exciting markets demonstrates the company’s dedication to listening to its customers and following tourism trends.

After seeing a need for lastminute hotel booking services in Laos and Myanmar, the company moved quickly to support users traveling to these up and coming destinations. “Our app is more and more being used by backpackers and flashpackers, who travel driven by inspiration and daily mood, preferring to find a place to stay on the day of arrival,” says HotelQuickly CoFounder, COO & CMO Christian Mischler. “Laos and Myanmar were white spots, so we’re now enabling travelers to fully rely on HotelQuickly when exploring the bordering countries of Thailand.”

With Myanmar’s tourism industry on the rise as travel restrictions are reduced, the company expected a rise in demand from leisure and business travelers making impromptu visits throughout the country.

“A couple years back, Myanmar was uncharted territory,” says CEO & CoFounder Tomas Laboutka. “Now the country is booming with new hotels opening up constantly. We wanted to make sure we could serve our customers traveling in the region by offering the best rates in the region.”
The company will list a handful of carefully selected hotels at launch, and add more properties
throughout the upcoming weeks.

Spontaneous hotel booking should be fun and rewarding,” says Mischler. “As more and more hotels want to become a part of HotelQuickly, we will continue to expand and deliver that service to our growing audience.”
