Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras turns 40 next year and AccorHotels will be the event’s major partner and its official and exclusive accommodation partner.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is Australia’s largest celebration of LGBTIQ culture and communities and AccorHotels will have a strong presence throughout the festival, with employees marching in the Parade and participating in Fair Day.

Coincidentally, AccorHotels’ announcement comes as the Australian Bureau of Statistics prepares to release the results of Australia’s AUD 122 million same-sex marriage survey, with 12.6 million Australians having voted in the poll. The ABS will announce the result at 10am tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 November 2017.

Next year, Mardi Gras Festival talent will be staying at AccorHotels around Sydney and all of the group’s Sydney hotels will have colourful lobby activations and external signage displays throughout the festival, which runs from 16 February to 4 March 2018.
