ACI Asia-Pacific is pleased to announce the results of the ACI Asia-Pacific Human Resources Excellence Recognition Program (HRER) 2019,  a program that recognizes Asia-Pacific airports’ outstanding achievements in Human Resources management. The theme of this year’s program is Change Management and the awardees are:

  • Silver Recognition – Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd
  • Bronze Recognition – GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited

Thirteen submissions were received and reviewed by a Panel of Judges (the Panel) chaired by Mr. Dennis Chant, Chairman of Sunshine Coast Airport Pty Ltd. The Panel concluded that Asia-Pacific airports have the strategic foresight to anticipate and manage change in their organizations and these submissions served as excellent examples for the airport community to learn from one another.

Mrs. Patti Chau, Regional Director of ACI Asia-Pacific said, “I would like to congratulate Airport Authority Hong Kong, Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited on their outstanding work showcasing Change Management within their organizations.”

“Albeit different contexts, all three winning airports articulated their approaches clearly with solid examples demonstrating how substantial changes were driven to better equip their employees. I am proud that airports in our region highly value Human Resources as one of the priorities worthy of investing time and resources. I also wish to congratulate other participants for their efforts in successfully driving changes within their organizations. We look forward to celebrating with the winning teams in Hong Kong this April,” she concluded.

This April 2-4, 2019, the 2019 ACI Asia-Pacific/World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition (WAGA) will be hosted by Hong Kong International Airport. Over the two-day conference, over 800 aviation leaders will explore the theme “What’s next for aviation? The future starts now.” The award ceremony for HRER will take place alongside WAGA on April 3.
