Adelaide Fashion Festival to showcase top South Australian fashion houses
SOUTH Australia’s top designers will feature on the opening runway of the Adelaide Fashion Festival in October.
Established favourites The Daily Edited, Naomi Murrell, GretaKate, and Couture+Love+Madness will be joined by fashion industry debutantes, Binny, Cinquante, Ashlee Lauren and Varacalli Couture.
“Being involved in the Adelaide Fashion Festival is a wonderful opportunity for young designers to showcase collections,” said Greta Rumsby, head designer at GretaKate.
“It also acts as a promotional and networking tool as well as generates a great buzz during October getting people out and about.”
This year’s festival will move from a marque in Victoria Square in the centre of Adelaide to the historic Torrens Parade Ground Drill Hall in the recently renovated Riverbank precinct.
The two opening shows on Thursday 12th October are The Contemporary V Street: A South Australian Showcase and Couture Culture, and both shows will showcase South Australian designers and jewellers.
