Adopt a Little Penguin with AAT Kings and help give back to the environment

In recognition of World Tourism Day and Biodiversity monthAAT Kings ( is encouraging everyone to contribute to the research, conservation and rescue of Australia’s most famous colony of Little Penguins located on Phillip Island, Victoria, with its Adopt a Little Penguin program.

In conjunction with AAT Kings’ conservation partner, Phillip Island Nature Parks, this TreadRight Foundationinitiative will see Australia’s oldest and most trusted guided holiday company contribute half of the associated fee of the Adopt a Little Penguinprogram allowing clients to only have to pay $37.50 to support this worthy cause.

With more than 32,000 Little Penguins calling Phillip Island home, this has become a safe haven for this rare species. When adopting a Little Penguin, agents and clients will receive a Penguin Foundation membership, fluffy toy penguin, an adoption certificate, complimentary ticket to the Penguin Parade for future use, and access to track the progress of their adopted penguin online. Funds raised from the Adopt a Little Penguin program will assist scientists in the research and management of Phillip Island’s pint-sized inhabitants, as well as caring for any injured Little Penguins that receive treatment at the on-site rehabilitation centre.

The Adopt a Little Penguin package can be purchased by booking a Melbourne day tour of Phillip Island priced at $176.50 per adult and $107.50 per child. On AAT Kings’ Phillip Island Penguins and Wildlife full day tour, guests will experience one of Australia’s most well-known eco-tourism attractions – the Penguin Parade, witnessing the Little Penguins returning home from a day at sea. Led by AAT Kings’ friendly and passionate Driver Guides, on this tour guests will also explore Maru Koala and Animal Park where they can get up close to a Tasmanian Devil and later discover the incredible ‘Nobbies’ – Nobbies Rock Formations.
