In April this year, Crusoe’s Retreat took the very big decision to become an adult-only resort. It was not an easy decision as initially turning away our little customers was extremely hard to do when our occupancy was at an all-time low. Just four months on and we are very proud to say that the decision was absolutely the right one. We are surrounded by many large resorts on the Coral Coast, all child-friendly and hard to compete with. Crusoe’s is very much suited to being an adult-only resort a) because we are boutique, small and off the beaten track b) we did not have a kids club to speak of
