unnamed (2)Adventure Associates has added two stunning Himalayan journeys to their exclusive suite of boutique adventures for 2016.

Adventure Associates Director, Sue Werner, said “ We wanted to create something special for our travellers to this region, without a doubt, one of the best ways to experience the stunning panoramas, rich history and ancient Buddhist culture of the Indian Himalaya is by travelling overland. We also wanted our travellers to experience the varied cultures and landscapes the Indian Himalaya has to offer, which is why we have included Kashmir, it’s one of the most beautiful, less visited areas of India”.

With high altitude roads allowing access to some of the remotest parts of Ladakh and Zanskar for only four months of each year, these journeys promise off the beaten track adventure, and magnificent Himalayan scenery.

There are two itineraries to choose from, a trekking adventure for the more active traveller, and an overland journey staying in 5 star hotels including the luxurious Oberoi in Delhi, and travelling in comfortable 4WD vehicles. Both itineraries also travel to the beautiful Kashmir Valley, where the lush and verdant landscape contrasts sharply with the high Tibetan like plateaus of Zanskar, Ladakh and the remote Nubra Valley with it’s picturesque valleys carpeted in wild flowers.

Adventure Associates 17 day ‘Ladakh to Kashmir Overland Journey’ and 19 day ‘Zanskar Trek with Kashmir & Ladakh’ tours depart from June to September 2016. Prices start at AUD$6690 per person ex-Delhi. For further information phone 02 4758 9922 or visitwww.adventureassociates.com
