Soft adventure specialists, Adventure World, have announced the addition of Japan product to its Asia collection for the first time ever with the introduction of its 13-day Handpicked Japan.

The new itinerary, which can be tailor-made to suit individual needs and wants, provides a range of unique experiences that showcase the contrast between the region’s ancient and modern cultures, fascinating traditions and spectacular sights.

Neil Rodgers, General Manager Adventure World said, “We’re very excited to announce Adventure World’s launch into Japan, providing our agent partners with a range of specially selected, extraordinary experiences to offer clients wanting to experience something really unique in this incredible destination.

“Japan is no longer an once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list destination. The diversity of experiences paired with increased accessibility from Australia has seen it evolve into a destination that travellers want to return to again and again. The country set a record for tourism figures last year with 13.4 million visitors in 2014 and already looks to be on track to set a new record in 2015.

“To mark Adventure World’s entry into Japan, our passionate and experienced product team have curated some of the most extraordinary experiences for the private guided Handpicked Japan.

“Some of these experiences include a step back in time to the days of the samurai in the castle town of Kanazawa; the opportunity to bathe in an outdoor onsen in Hakone; a visit to Takayama, famous for its traditional gassho-zukurifarmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old and a stay in traditional ryokan accommodation.”

Adventure World’s 13-day Handpicked Japan journey priced from $5430 per person. Departing Saturdays for the Harajuku Sunday Market, guests will start in the buzzing capital city Tokyo, visit spectacular Mount Fuji and the volcanic hot springs in Hakone, head to the historic Takayama and the castle town of Kanazawa. Explore the old Geisha district and tour a sake brewery, before wandering the streets of Japan’s former imperial capital Kyoto, with its prominent castle, Kiyomizu Temple and ornamental gardens.

Each experience has been carefully curated by one of Adventure World’s expert travel designers. Choose from the bucket list experiences they recommend, or work with them to create your own tailor-made journey.
