Partnering with the Purkal Stree Shakti Samiti organisation for the production of the premium travel wallets, the women of the local Purkal village have the opportunity to boost their economic status and position in the family through employment. Throughout the past 16 years, the organisation has grown to employ 169 artisan women, working on empowering them through the promotion of sustainable growth, zero hunger, health and wellbeing, decent wages and a responsible production and consumption mentality.

The wallet orders will support training and skill development in design and production as well as regular employment to many local women in Purkal, located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The wallets are made from locally sourced materials and each item will also include details about Purkal Stree Shakti Samiti and the quality of handiwork that goes into creating each wallet the guest receives.
