The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has today confirmed that the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has joined the distinguished list of silver sponsors for the 2015 National Travel Industry Awards.
ASEAN, via the Australian ASEAN Promotional Chapter Tourism, will sponsor Category 34Best Registered Travel Industry Training Institution. This award recognises the training institution that best equips its students to work within the travel and tourism industry, with a focus on the changing trends within the industry.
“The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) was established in 1967 and comprises 10 countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The aim of the ASEAN Tourism Promotional Chapter in Australia is to raise awareness about ASEAN and encourage Australians to travel to those countries. We are therefore delighted to be part of NTIA in recognition of the wonderful contribution made by AFTA members in inspiring travel to all the ASEAN countries,” said Alison Roberts-Brown, Chairman, APCT Australia.
We feel privileged that ASEAN has joined the family of NTIA sponsors. NTIA would not be the event that it is if it were not for the support of our sponsors. Thank you to all those involved and I can’t wait for you to witness what we have install for this year’s night of nights,” said Jayson Westbury, AFTA Chief Executive.
