Agents discover Explore Worldwide

Agents discovered what adventure travel expert Explore Worldwide was all about during a special cocktail function in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The brand, which joined the Cox & Kings family in April, offers inspiring, pioneering and unique adventures to some of the world’s most fascinating locations.

Explore has been operating since 1981 and offers over 450 tours to over 120 countries which include cultural, spiritual, walking, trekking and cycle experiences.

Around 50 agents enjoyed a night of drinks and nibbles at Quaff Events in Toorak to learn about developments within the brand.

“The product is tried and true but Explore is also truly a pioneer in opening up new regions,” Explore Worldwide product manager Lindsay Cowan said.

“For instance we have Inside Hidden Kingdoms, a 20-day overland adventure tour from Bangladesh to India, Bhutan and Nepal, and the 8-day Highlights of Kurdistan which ventures into Kurdish Iraq.

“Explore complements our Cox and Kings Small Group Journeys program, both travelling to far corners of the world but offering a differing style and accommodation standards.”

Mr Cowan said Explore was a well-established consumer brand with a very high repeat traveller rate of over 60 per cent.

“Many agents are yet to gain the benefit of this opportunity so spreading the word to the industry is a prime focus in our first year of representation,” he said.

“We have already shown growth in sales over the previous year in a very short time.”
