Attendees at the recent Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) continued the excitement with a post expo visit to one of Australia’s closest neighbours, New Caledonia.
A group of ten buyers were hosted by New Caledonia Tourism (NCTPS) for the recovery trip and some much needed R&R after the trade show last month.
The itinerary featured the regions of Bourail, Noumea and Ilse of Pines, showcasing the diverse landscapes and experiences available – all under three hours from Australia.
NCTPS MICE representative Danielle Flegg said “this is a great opportunity to whisk company buyers away and show them how accessible and exciting New Caledonia is for business events, whilst also providing a stunning environment to recover from the busy trade show.”
“A wow factor of the trip was definitely the helicopter transfers from Amedee Island overlooking the magnificent lagoon. The experience exceeded everyone’s expectations and left everyone in awe,” Ms Flegg said.
The group were also treated to beautiful accommodation at the Le Meridien Ilse of Pines and newly renovated Le Meridien Noumea plus the Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Spa & Golf Resort, Hilton Noumea Le Promenade Residences and Chateau Royal Beach Resort & Spa.
They also participated in day trips, snorkelling in the world’s largest lagoon and visiting on and off-site venues for meetings, conferences and incentive programmes.
