The Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) is underway in Melbourne from today, celebrating its 25th anniversary and hosting Asia-Pacific’s leading experts in events, travel and technology.

AIME started out as the Melbourne Meeting Mart in 1983 before developing into AIME. This year, the show is focusing on technology, while providing a collaborative atmosphere for networking.

Yesterday saw delegates and media whisked to various venues to give them a smaple of what Victoria’s capital has to offer. Venues included River’s Edge, Munich Brauhaus (for a taste of German beer, music and hospitality) and Batman’s Hill Hotel on Collins, where visitors can obtain an double ‘Premiere’ room, right across from Southern Cross Station, from AUD 179 a night.

A stylish welcome cocktail event greeted AIME delegates last night at Flemington.

“AIME strives to not only provide a platform for people to network, but also extend the opportunity to learn through our educational programs,” AIME’s event director, Ian Wainwright, commented.

“AIME 2017 will cover the hottest topics in the events industry today, from industry trends, business development and strategy, to safety, security and risk management plus personal branding and staff development.”
