In a landmark move to bring superior travel experiences to its customers in Algeria and beyond, Air Algérie, the national airline of Algeria, is embarking on a 10-year transformation program to upgrade nearly all its operational and travel management systems through a new partnership with Amadeus, one of the leading providers of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry. The milestone agreement was concluded during a signature event held in Algiers, Algeria, bringing together key industry partners, government officials, and top executives from both Air Algérie and Amadeus.

The partnership comes at a time when airlines around the globe are seeking to optimize their business processes and gain a competitive edge through more intelligent management systems. Annually serving around 6 million passengers across four continents, Air Algérie has ambitions to expand its operations by continuing to modernise its management tools and information systems to improve the customer experience.

The airline’s latest transformation program will include a full migration of all Air Algérie reservation, ticketing, inventory management, revenue management, DCS and e-commerce operations to Amadeus-powered platforms over the next decade. In addition, the partnership will seek to enhance the airline’s loyalty, payment, and travel intelligence programs as a new suite of Amadeus solutions are adopted across the business. The associated technology implementations are set to begin later this year.
