Seychelles-TravelAir Austral has launched the Pass “Vanilla Islands” to encourage greater movement between the islands of the Indian Ocean.

Air Austral is an important player in the Indian Ocean and the launch of this new product will facilitate better connectivity between islands from the La Reunion Island HUB and it should help to develop tourism in the Indian Ocean Region.

The new Pass “Vanilla Islands” is open to travellers in possession of an Air Austral long haul airline ticket (Paris – La Reunion) and it will enable the twin centre holiday approaches with very reduced rates on a number of destinations. The Pass “Vanilla Islands” enables visitors to now fly from la Reunion to Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar (Tananarive, Tamatave & Nosy-Be), Comoros and also Mayotte. The Pass “Vanilla Islands” now offers 8 islands of the Indian Ocean for a Euro 90 return ticket from La Reunion Island if the visitor already has an Air Austral Paris – La Reunion airline ticket.

“Air Austral has its published rates structure for Tour Operators for a La Reunion flight from Europe. With the Pass “Vanilla Islands” Air Austral is opening up its list of offers. Air Austral is now offering its international clients very competitive rates for regional inter-island flights. Air Austral is now working with the Vanilla Island program and working for the development of tourism of the region. We are convinced that this special offer will enable visitors to La Reunion Island to travel to the other islands of the Indian Ocean” said Jean-Marc Grazzini, the Deputy CEO of Marketing and Operations of Air Austral.

“With these new offers, Air Austral is contributing to the development of the Indian Ocean Region and they are showing the spirit of collaboration is beneficial for everyone. This has been the guiding vision and the objectives of the Vanilla Islands” said Pascal Viroleau, the CEO of the Vanilla islands.

On his part Alain St.Ange, the President of the Vanilla Islands and Minister for Tourism & Culture of the Seychelles said as he welcomed this positive news that the work of the Vanilla islands is today vindicated. “We have been working to get more inter island movement. Air Austral has heard the appeal and their action will enable more visitors to our region to discover more of our islands once they have landed in La Reunion. The next part of our work is to have more inter island flights between all our island” said Alain St.Ange
