Air Canada Adds Daily Vancouver-Boston Flights

After watching Australian travellers embrace its fast, convenient and friendly services to New York, Air Canada is set to open up another iconic city on America’s east coast, with the launch in June of new flights seamlessly connecting Brisbane and Sydney to Boston.

Founded in 1630, Massachusetts’ capital was the scene of several key events in the American Revolution – including the Boston Tea Party – making it one of the most culturally and historically interesting cities in the US.

Between June and September 2017, Air Canada will operate daily non-stop Airbus A319 services between Vancouver and Boston.

General Manager Australia and New Zealand Paul McLean says the new non-stop flights are timed to connect seamlessly with Air Canada’s services between Sydney/Brisbane and Vancouver.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to further reinforce our popularity among Australian business and leisure travellers as a convenient, low-stress gateway to the US north-eastern seaboard,” says McLean. “For travel agents it’s also another chance to promote a two-nation vacation that combines the best of Canada and the US into one unforgettable itinerary.”

Meanwhile Air Canada is also offering Australian travellers an intriguing new route to the Land of Fire and Ice, with the launch of new services from Toronto and Montreal to Reykjavik, Iceland, during the northern hemisphere summer.

From June the new non-stop services will be operated by Air Canada Rouge using 136-seat A319 aircraft offering a choice of premium and economy classes of service.

The Reykjavik flights are part of a continuing global strategic expansion, which in 2016 saw Air Canada introduce 28 new routes. Among the list were 12 new US trans-border services and 15 international routes (including Vancouver-Brisbane).

In 2017 Air Canada will maintain momentum, with the launch of new international services between Toronto-Mumbai, Toronto-Berlin, Montreal-Shanghai, Montreal-Algiers, Montreal-Marseille, Vancouver-Taipei, Vancouver-Nagoya, Vancouver-Frankfurt, and Vancouver-London Gatwick.
