Air France Celebrates 30 Years’ Service To Seoul

AirfanceIn July, the Air France Paris-Seoul route is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The Company has been serving the South Korean capital since 1983 and currently offers two daily flights on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, including one code-shared flight with Korean Air.

Air France customers benefit from products and services specially tailored for them (website in Korean, a dedicated Facebook page, welcome at the airport and special attentions on board). Happy anniversary!

A HISTORIC SERVICE

In 1983, Air France was the first European airline to fly to South Korea with a once-weekly Paris-Seoul service operated by Boeing 747 jumbo. As from 1985, Air France increased the number of frequencies to Seoul, offering two weekly flights. In 1998, the Company signed an agreement with Korean Air to develop its services between Paris and Seoul.une_30_ans_Seoul_630x0

Today, Air France offers 2 daily flights, including a code-shared flight with Korean Air, between Paris and Seoul. This flight schedule completes the two daily flights operated by KLM to Seoul on departure from Amsterdam-Schiphol.

The daily flight operated by Air France is served by Boeing 777-300 or 777-200 equipped with the La Première, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

Departs Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:35 / Arrives in Seoul-Incheon at 07:05 (the next day)

Departs Seoul at 09:25 / Arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14:20

TAILORED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR KOREAN PASSENGERS

From the welcome at the airport to the special attentions they receive on board, the Company offers customers on its flights to South Korea specific products and services in an aim to meet their every expectation.

A PERSONALIZED WELCOME AT THE AIRPORT

At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, to welcome and provide assistance to passengers, agents speaking Korean are available to help them with check-in formalities and facilitate their connections between flights. At Seoul-Incheon, passengers are welcomed by a Korean agent wearing the traditional « Hanbok » costume.

SPECIAL ATTENTIONS ON BOARD

During their trip, passengers have the choice of a Korean meal including Kimchi, and have access to a buffet offering instant noodles and green tea throughout the flight.

Air France also offers a selection of Korean newspapers and magazines, as well as movies in the original language or in a subtitled version. The Company is gradually increasing its offer of world cinema movies on board its long-haul flights. Between May and August 2013, the number of movies on offer, including a Korean selection, will gradually increase from 14 up to 40 movies in all cabin classes.

Moreover, the Company is increasing direct contact with its Korean customers through its dedicated Facebook page boasting close to 20,000 fans. The page posts information about the Company’s products and services as well as its network destinations to be discovered.
