AirfranceAir France / KLM has implemented EMD’s ( Electronic Miscellaneous Document) as the method of collecting applicable airline related charges.

Travel agents will now be able to issue EMD-S and EMD-A s via their GDS for AF/KLM services.

EMD-S – (Stand alone) issued for stand alone payments – it is not lifted with an e-ticket coupon but it can be linked with an E-ticket for reference – ie Penalty fee, Ticket fees,

Chargeable services and products on EMDs will be identified by:
RFIC reason for issuance Code
RFISC reason for issuance Sub-codes

EMDs will replace VMPD’s for the following AFKL services and paid options:

Amadeus agents : can issue EMD-S and EMD-A’s for all of the above AFKL services
