Air France’s New Cabins Land in Los Angeles and Washington, DC

AirfanceAir France customers traveling from Los Angeles International Airport and Washington, DC Dulles International Airport (IAD) can now enjoy the airline’s new Business cabin, a cocoon in the sky, plus fully-updated seats in Premium Economy and Economy class. The gradual entry into service of the new “BEST” product-equipped Boeing 777s allows Air France to serve these additional North-American destinations with the new cabins up to seven times-weekly, effective immediately throughout the 2015 summer and fall season. Ultimately, 44 Boeing 777s, the heart of the Air France long-haul fleet, will be equipped with the new products with updates to all cabins.

Los Angeles (LAX) Flight Times (local time)

AF069: leaves Los Angeles at 18:25, arriving the following day at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14:15.

AF072: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 13:40, arriving in Los Angeles at 16:20.

Washington Dulles (IAD) Flight Times (local time)

AF027: leaves Washington, DC at 21:30, arriving the following day at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:00.
AF026: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 16:55, arriving in Washington at 19:25.


Currently, 16 destinations are being served by 20 Boeing 777s equipped with Air France’s new long-haul cabins this summer, including:

  • North America – New York*; Toronto; Vancouver; Washington, DC; Los Angeles.
  • South America – Sao Paulo.
  • Africa – Douala; Malabo; Yaoundé.
  • Middle East – Dubaï*.
  • Asia – Guangzhou; Jakarta*; Shanghai; Singapore*; Tokyo-Haneda*; Wuhan.

*the new La Première suites are available on service to these destinations


In June 2014, Air France unveiled the first Boeing 777 equipped with its new long-haul cabin classes as part of a $500 million investment in new products and services. One year later, the airline is seeing the rewards of its efforts with a significant increase in its customer satisfaction ratings. This enthusiasm has contributed to a 28 point increase in the Net Promoter Score (NPS), a popular rating index which has received a high response from customers asked whether they are willing to recommend Air France to their families, friends and colleagues.

Air France, voted “world’s most improved airline” in 2015


In June 2015, Air France received two awards from Skytrax – “world’s most improved airline” and, for the second consecutive year, “best first class airline lounge dining.” These awards were presented to the company at the World Airline Awards, the occasion for Skytrax to announce its highly-professional airline rating among one of the most respected in the air transport industry. Both awards received by Air France are based on feedback from nearly 19 million customers in an online survey.


Air France-KLM, 19 destinations in North America


Air France-KLM serves 19 destinations in North America on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol airports. Recently, the Group also resumed operation of two seasonal services to Minneapolis and Dallas. Air France-KLM is also increasing capacity to Vancouver, Canada with flights operated by Air France on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle since March 29, 2015. Moreover, since May 19, 2015, KLM has resumed flights to Edmonton, Canada on departure from Amsterdam-Schiphol. Furthermore, as part of the transatlantic joint-venture, Air France-KLM and its partners Delta Air Lines and Alitalia jointly operate over 250 trans-Atlantic flights operated daily by the four airlines. The joint-venture represents close to 25% of total capacity between Europe and North America.
