egtmedia59Air New Zealand, known for its zany and creative in-flight safety videos, has done it again.

The airline has enlisted hobbits, elves and All Blacks in previous safety videos. It’s now drafting little old ladies and elderly gents into the mix.

The latest Air New Zealand video features superstar comedian and veteran actor Betty White. She visits the Second Wind Retirement Resort, a fictional institution, presumably, where she presents the airline’s safety tips in the grand old-school  manner.

Assisting is Gavin MacLeod, formerly with the Mary Tyler Moore Show (for those who can remember back that far.) Stand by for hearing aids, golf carts and other retirement stereotypes.

It’s all a great hoot, full of gags yet it still manages to get the safety message across. People might even watch it, which is more than most of them do when most safety videos are screened.
