AirAsia, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for 5 consecutive years (2009-2013) as ranked by Skytrax, reaffirms its leadership in low-fares with a major promotion for everyone looking to fly direct from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur with fares starting from only 390 THB per way (inclusive of airport tax and fees).

The airline reassures excellent connectivity with wide coverage both domestically and internationally, highest flight frequencies on popular routes, and most frequent promotions year round.

Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, remarked that Thai AirAsia is entering its 10th year of providing trustworthy and familiar service to the Thai people. By the end of the year, AirAsia will have a total of 43 routes in its network; 18 domestic and 25 international destinations, totaling 238 23F4CCFE2B530B0848E15248B41D59B61flights per day.

“Apart from our confidence in having the strongest connectivity, we also feature distinctively low fares that offer our passengers value for money. AirAsia provides the most promotional fares, with new exciting offers every 2 weeks year round, especially for popular routes such as Bangkok to Chiang Mai, offered at the starting fare of only 390 THB per way, from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, starting at only 1,050 THB per way and Bangkok to Jakarta, starting at only 1,490 THB per way, inclusive of airport tax and fees. These fares are available for booking from today until 24 November 2013 for travel during 1 December 2013 to 30 April 2014. We guarantee that these are the best fares on these routes”, said Mr. Tassapon.
At present, AirAsia flies direct from Bangkok to Chiang Mai 12 times daily, Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur (both FD flights operated by Thai AirAsia and AK flights operated by Malaysia AirAsia) 10 times daily and Bangkok to Jakarta (QZ flights operated by Indonesia AirAsia) twice daily. The airline maintains the highest flight frequency for the destinations in the region and is constantly increasing its flight frequency to all destinations to accommodate a range of travelers from the business to tourism sectors. AirAsia is driven to become the true ASEAN airline in preparation for the opportunities and challenges of the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
Mr. Tassapon added that apart from its flight network and promotions highlighting its leadership in the industry, AirAsia is also expanding its fleet of Airbus A320 planes to 61 aircraft by the end of 2017 (from 35 at the end of 2013) and is always working to maintain its on-time record. Most importantly, the airline is continually improving its capital management to achieve its ideal efficiency so it may offer the absolute lowest fares on all routes.
“We are confident in AirAsia’s experienced team of employees, as through their determination and vision we have been able to grow as rapidly as we have and are now able to stride forward and offer the exciting fares that allow us to stay true to our motto of “Now Everyone Can Fly”, concluded Mr. Tassapon.
