AirAsia outrage as ‘seat hog’ upgrades herself

An economy-class plane passenger has caused much consternation on a flight by effectively upgrading herself and prawling over an entire row of premium seats.

The unseemly action occurred before on a four-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong, according to a report in London’s Sun newspaper.

A middle-aged woman suddenly decided to move from her standard economy seat and take over a row of vacant premium economy seats.

Indignant passengers argued with the woman but she removed to move until a flight attendant was called and even then moved only under protest.

Report said the woman argued and asked why she needed to move. She was told the seats cost extra, but even then, she took some time to move.

Another passenger on the flight said the woman returned to her own seat before takeoff, but kept returning to the premium economy seats.

Once more she moved to her assigned seat, but only after an argument with cabin crew.

Then, a little later, back she came. This time a flight attendant told her it was not fair to others and instructed her to return. The attendant was backed by other premium economy passengers, who were becoming increasingly annoyed.
