Program Overview: The Airbnb for Business program was launched in 2014, making it easier to travel for work without sacrificing the comforts of home. By choosing to stay with Airbnb, it allows travellers to feel like they get a chance to live in a city, even if it’s just for one night. Airbnb for Business offers companies an affordable option, and employees the flexibility and control over their stay. Employees can choose more space, stay in a neighbourhood that interests them, choose a listing with a kitchen they’d love to cook dinner in or even a place that has a washing machines so they can pack light. Companies like Amazon, Google, Vox Media and Twilio are a part of the Airbnb for Business program and give their employees options when traveling, especially those looking to have the comforts of home while they’re on the road.

Airbnb for Business provides a suite of travel management tools for companies to be able to easily integrate Airbnb into their travel program. The tools are provided to help travel managers have more visibility into employee travel itineraries, financial reporting data, and centralised billing to improve the business travel experience for all. Airbnb hosts can now identify their listings as “Business Travel Ready,” allowing more hosts to tap into the rapidly growing universe of business travellers already staying on Airbnb.

Recent Program Updates:

 Business Travel Ready Listings: Hosts can identify their listings as “Business Travel Ready,” allowing more hosts to tap into the growing universe of business travellers already staying on Airbnb. Listings that are Business Travel Ready will be identified by hosts as having business-friendly amenities, including Wi-Fi, a designated workspace, iron, hair dryer, hangers, as well as 24-hour check-in and a policy of no host cancellations within seven days. In April 2017, travellers now have the option to filter search results to only show Business Travel Ready listings, which will make it easier and faster to find and book the perfect Airbnb for a work trip.

 Third Party Booking: This feature allows business partners like travel managers and executive assistants to be able to book Airbnb listings on behalf of other employees. Before we launched third party booking, users were unable to designate other travellers in the checkout flow. The new third-party booking feature adds a whole new dimension to the way companies are able to book listings for all of their business travel.

Airbnb for Business Partners: Airbnb has partnerships in place with Concur to enable business travellers who use Concur’s TripLink service to book directly on Airbnb while having their expense reports and itineraries automatically pre-populated in Concur. In July 2016, Airbnb announced partnerships with the three leading travel management companies including American Express Global Business Travel, BCD, and Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).
