Airline passenger’s horrid poo-in-a-blanket shock

March 21, 2017 Headline News 2 Comments Email Email

A revolting surprise and a disturbing question greeted an airline passenger when she unwrapped an airline blanket, neatly folded and wrapped in plastic.

The blanket, supplied on a Delta Air Lines flight, is said to have contained a turd – human faeces. The victim in this poo-in-a-blanket horror story is American comedian and entertainer, Nicole Byer. The disgusting discovery gave her nothing to laugh about.

Delta is probing the matter, according to the London Sun.

This being 2017, Byer felt compelled to tweet a picture of the offending item, for the world to enjoy. We will do you a favour and not print it. Suffice to say that excrement sticks to blankets – there’s even a phrase about it.

Byer wrote: “Dear @Delta the grossest thing happened on my flight. I opened my blanket & there was a literal piece of s***. How does that happen?”

Making matters worse, Byer claims the unsavoury blanket came out of a plastic wrapper, meaning the blanket had been folded, including the turd, and placed back in the wrapper.

That’s where the disturbing question arises. As Byer tweeted: “I mean what a gross customer to s*** in a blanket… but truly how did an employee just fold it up and put it in a bag?”

Byer said the incident had left her emotionally scarred. To make this absolutely clear, she tweeted in capitals: THERE WAS S*** IN MY BLANKET!”

She later said a flight attendant “confirmed there was indeed s*** in the blanket.”

Now, what was in the blanket again?

According to the Sun, Byer later tweeted that the airline had apologised and refunded her ticket as well as giving her 50,000 free air miles and vouchers.

And there, for the meantime, the matter rests.

Is it then surprising that most international travellers are not impressed with the service on US carriers and generally opt for Asian, Middle Eastern carriers when they have a choice. So make ‘America Great Again’ is a fine slogan for domestic consumption, but it is laughable when taken in conjunction with what happen to this poor passenger. So Delta and other US carriers better get your act together and implement a proper system of checks and balances to ensure this never happens again.
