Ajman delegation heads to ITB Berlin to unveil new destination brand

The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) heads the delegation to ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show, to launch the emirate’s new destination brand that will focus on the slogan “Sincerely Emirati.”

Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD will lead the delegation with Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman, Crown Palace Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, The Ajman Palace Hotel, Ramada Hotel, Travel Center, ITLT and Anta Travel and Tours.

Al Nuaimi said: “Our participation this year in ITB is very significant because we are unveiling Ajman’s new destination brand abroad. We have unveiled the new brand and the slogan to all government and private sectors in Ajman last week but this is the first time it will be promoted overseas. ITB Berlin is the first international exhibition of the year for the travel industry and everyone looks forward to attending the event so this is the most successful platform to unveil the new brand which is expected to be seen by over 10,000 exhibitors from over 180 countries!”

The new brand is about promoting Ajman as tourism and investment destination offering different touristic attractions and facilities for investors. The brand’s slogan “Sincerely Emirati” embodies the true spirit of modern Emirati hospitality. “The size of Ajman helps to create a town-living feeling which gives visitors a more charming feel as opposed to a big city. We have a good climate and environment, friendly local people, tradition in art and culture, entertainment and leisure provision. It is the genuine welcoming nature of our people that differentiate Ajman’s true sense of place,” added Al Nuaimi.

During the 5-day exhibition, visitors to the Ajman stand will receive information about the new identity. Representatives of hotels and travel agencies will also provide details about the destination and its key attractions. There will be activities to highlight Emirati culture such as henna painting which will be offered to visitors and exhibitors.

The delegation headed by Al Nuami and his team namely Yamina Aoucher, Director of Tourism Development and Marketing Department; Hind Al Marzooqi, Head of Marketing and Promotion and Mohammed Moula, Inspection Executive will be joined by Henny Schaffer, General Manager of Fairmont Hotel; Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager of Ramada Hotel; Ahmed Kamal, Director of Sales of Ajman Saray; Nehal Rizvi, General Manager of Crown Palace; Raluca Tuturman, Director of Sales of Kempinski; Parkash Punjabi, General Manager of Travel Center; Ishack Hamsa, Manager of ITLT and Mohammed Fareesuddin, Manager of Anta Travel and Tours.

This year, the world’s leading travel trade show is celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking a genuine success story “made in Berlin“. Every year the show attracts over 110,000 trade visitors, more than 40% of whom are from abroad. Over the last 50 years it has become the world’s largest travel trade show, displaying a comprehensive overview of the market that includes travel products and services from around the world and growth-intensive niche markets. It also reflects trends in society as well as technical and economic developments. As a driving force and pioneer in the tourism industry ITB Berlin always has been and still is a step ahead of the rest.

Visitors to ITB can visit the Government of Ajman stand at ME 203 Hall 22 B from 9th to 13th March, 2016.
