Global travel company Abercrombie & Kent has launched an exciting new culinary journey to Sri Lanka.
Hosted by renowned cook and self-proclaimed gastronaut Geoff Jansz, the group of no more than 24 guests will cover all the major highlights of this charming and diverse island nation, visiting ancient sites and modern day attractions, participating in unique cultural interactions and specially tailored culinary experiences.
Journey highlights include guided sightseeing of World Heritage sites in the Cultural Triangle, Kandy and a pooja ceremony in the Temple of the Tooth, the Dutch Fort in Galle as well as an in-depth Tea Experience in the Cultural Triangle and a walking tour of old Colombo. Culinary surprises include a fish market tour and seafood cooking class, home-cooked meals in a family home, chef-led demonstrations on how to cook traditional egg hoppers, rotti and typical Sri Lankan curries, as well as an introduction to the many spices used day to day and dinner at Colombo’s iconic Ministry of Crab.
