Luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent is pleased to introduce Sea Cloud Cruises to its portfolio.
The fleet’s two ships, Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II, are majestic wind-jammers which sail in the traditional manner of tall ships. The atmosphere on board is sophisticated yet relaxed, with a crew of around 60 to ensure all guests – a maximum of 94 per vessel – enjoy a unique cruise with personalised service. Cabins are perfectly designed with plenty of space, cosy surrounds and elegant furnishings.
‘Sea Cloud’ was christened in 1931 as the largest private sailing yacht of its day. Luxuriously redesigned by heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post, this four-masted barque sailed to the world’s most exotic destinations, enjoying a remarkable career hosting both diplomats and royalty. She has been luxuriously reappointed to the highest modern standards – but remains an authentic remnant of a bygone era with a mystique all her own.
‘Sea Cloud II’ was christened in 2001 as the modern-day sister to ‘Sea Cloud.’ Cruising in northern Europe and the Mediterranean, she maintains a period feel with 32,000 square feet of hand-set sails while boasting every modern comfort and amenity.
Cruises operate in Europe and the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and Cuba, Costa Rica and Central America.
The 9 day-Athens-Venice cruise aboard Sea Cloud departing 18 September 2016 is priced from €4,665 per person.
