Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can now earn miles flying on Aeromexico, Mexico’sglobal airline, which serves 80 destinations throughout Mexico, the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe andAsia. Miles flown on Aeromexico will count toward qualification in Alaska’s Mileage Plan MVP elite-level program.

Club Premier Aeromexico travelers can also accrue miles when they fly on Alaska Airlines’ expansive network of 95 destinations across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and Canada.

“We’re pleased to launch a frequent flier partnership with Aeromexico aimed at offering Mileage Plan members the ability to earn and redeem miles to unique destinations throughout Mexico and Central and South America from their hub in Mexico City,” said Caroline Boren,  Alaska Airlines’ managing director of loyalty marketing and customer advocacy. “Our respective frequent flier customers will also enjoy easy connections and streamlined handling of checked baggage between both airlines.”

Alaska Airlines announced its enhanced codeshare and marketing partnership with Aeromexico last December, however, mileage-earning opportunities haven’t been available until now.
