All Aboard! Eat, Play, Party: Msc Cruises’ Sophisticated New Ship MSC Meraviglia Has Something For Everyone

MSC Cruises is taking its family-friendly cruise holidays to a new level with its biggest, smartest ship to date, MSC Meraviglia. After her June 3 christening, MSC Meraviglia will sail the Mediterranean, taking guests to classic destinations in ultra-contemporary style.

For the first time on any MSC Cruises ship, all the facilities for families, kids and teens are brought together in the Super Amusement Park. Exciting entertainment options include a multi-purpose sports arena with sweeping sea views that converts to a dance space at night; a full-length bowling alley; two F1 Simulators and a Flight Simulator; 5D cinema; and fun arcade games.

On the top deck, the Polar Aqua Park includes three exhilarating water slides, a splash pool and champagne flute slide – and thrill-seekers can cross the ship on the Himalayan Bridge, suspended 80 metres above the sea.

A brand-new, high-tech media space on deck 7 operates as a TV studio, comedy club, karaoke bar and live music venue. Games, quizzes and talent contests are streamed live around the ship and shown on the giant screen overlooking the Atmosphere pool.

In another first for MSC Cruises, MSC Meraviglia features a stunning 96-metre Promenade flanked by shops, bars and restaurants. The entire ceiling of the Promenade is covered by an 80-metre LED screen – the longest at sea – that displays dazzling visuals and special effects 24 hours a day.

One of the standout eateries along the Promenade is the Jean-Philippe Maury chocolate atelier, where guests can watch chocolatiers at work and sample sweet treats; across the ship there is an unprecedented choice of 20 bars and lounges and 12 casual and fine-dining venues.

MSC Meraviglia’s specialty restaurants include Ristorante Italiano, in partnership with renowned Italian company Eataly; it serves traditional Italian dishes, while the exclusive Chef’s Table offers a food-and-wine experience that will satisfy the most discerning gourmets.

Following the success of Kaito Sushi Bar on its other ships, MSC Cruises has added the new Kaito Teppanyaki restaurant on MSC Meraviglia; at both venues, diners will enjoy fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine created by expert chefs.

Also new to MSC Meraviglia is the Butcher’s Cut, a modern steakhouse concept that celebrates the skill of a master butcher serving specialty cuts of meats and embraces American heritage. Its menu features craft beers, bold American wines and elaborate cocktails, and guests can watch specialist chefs work their magic in an open-fronted kitchen.

MSC Cruises is also introducing Flexi Dining, a new dining style that allows guests to pre-select a time slot for their evening meal, with the ability to change it at any time during their cruise. The Classic cruise dining experience will still be available, with a choice of two sittings each evening.
