Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has revealed details of its 2018 Masters Conference with this year’s participants set to enjoy a week-long cruise to the Pacific Islands onboard P&O Cruises’ Pacific Aria.

The annual Masters Conference offers CLIA agents who have achieved Ambassador status the chance to advance their sales and marketing skills in a conference setting, while also experiencing a CLIA cruise line member vessel first-hand.

US-based sales guru and motivator Scott Koepf will return to oversee CLIA Australasia’s 21st Masters, taking participants through a series of seminars from hands-on sales skills to understanding marketing, mastering customer service and even life planning.

The conference format, including six three-hour sessions, offers plenty of time to learn as well as ample leisure time to enjoy the ship and port calls.

The seven-day conference cruise will depart Brisbane on October 19, arriving back in the Queensland capital on October 26, with the itinerary including calls to Noumea and Lifou in New Caledonia and Port Vila in Vanuatu.

CLIA Australasia & Asia Managing Director Joel Katz said the annual Masters Conference was aimed at CLIA travel agent members who wanted to advance their professional development.

“From consultants to owners and managers, CLIA’s Masters Conference is a great way for CLIA members to sharpen their cruise sales and marketing skills, ensuring they stay at the top of their game. Scott is a great motivator and during the conference he covers a range of topics which are designed to inspire all levels of participants regardless of their role within the cruise industry,” Mr Katz said.

After completing the Masters course and a comprehensive work-based assignment, agents will receive 100 points and enter the prestigious CLIA Cruise Masters’ ranks with perks including a higher ranking on the CLIA Australasia website search for any agency with a Master Cruise consultant on the books.

The conference is open to all consultants who hold CLIA Ambassador level accreditation and are employed by a CLIA member travel agent.
