Apparently Allure is not scheduled to be dry-docked until in 2015, but the vessel’s propulsion issues, meaning that she cannot attain full speed, affecting many of her schedules, arriving in ports late and leaving early, appear to be forcing Royal Caribbean to take her out of service earlier than scheduled.

There has been heavy media and on line criticism of Royal Caribbean for not being clearer about the issues with the massive vessel, with passengers also tweeting, facebooking and through other means their dissatisfaction.

USA TODAY has also reported that Allure is not alone in experiencing issues the her pod propulsion systems, with only three months ago, sister cruise line Celebrity Cruises’ Millennium suffering pod propulsion issues resulting in the cancellation of several cruises.
