Amadeus shares its innovation journey, 30 years in the making

Amadeus celebrated its 30 year anniversary and showcased innovative solutions, at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM).As one of the leading providers of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, Amadeus has been a driving force in the sector’s innovation for 30 years and has a strong vision for the future.

Founded in 1987, Amadeus has been committed to delivering the most innovative solutions for the travel market. As the leading investor in Research and Development (R&D) in 2014 and 2015 in the global travel and technology industry, it invested more than €4 billion in R&D since 2004 in areas such as cloud-based architecture, security, massive data, real-time analytics, and mobile.

Having driven innovation for three decades, Amadeus can anticipate what technologies will play a role in the future of the travel industry. Of the numerous trends, Amadeus will focus on four: virtual reality, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and robotics.
